We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to provide one-on-one piano instruction to students of various ages and skill levels. An ideal candidate must have achieved a high level of piano proficiency and possess excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver effective piano lessons tailored to individual student needs and skill levels.
  • Teach basic music theory, technique, sight-reading, and ear training.
  • Prepare students for recital performances, auditions and examinations.
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback to students and parents regarding achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Foster a supportive and positive learning environment that promotes a love for music and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Address and resolve any behavioural or academic issues with tact and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Completed, or currently working towards, a music Degree or Diploma from a recognized University, College or Conservatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching piano to beginner and intermediate students, including adults and young children.
  • Knowledge of standard pedagogical methods and piano repertoire.

Schedule:

  • Piano lessons take place Monday to Friday afternoons/evenings and on Saturday mornings/afternoons.
  • Teacher must be available to teach at least for the duration of a school year, from September until the end of June.
